More things English… Thanks to Musica Viva, the Academy of Ancient Music comes to Australia in November to present a program of music by Matthew Locke, Henry Purcell, Thomas Arne & George Frideric Handel. The AAM will be directed by Richard Egarr, and joined by the lovely Australian soprano, Sara Macliver.

The Marais Project’s Jennifer Eriksson, working with Tommie Andersson and Daniel Yeadon, will present a special program to mark the 450th birthday of the great John Dowland, composer-lutenist to Queen Elizabeth I. This concert will feature the Seaven Teares consort, along with Tommie, Danny and soprano, Lindy Montgomery. It will be held in one of the most beautiful venues in Sydney, The Refectory at Sydney University.

Term 4 of our evening classes traditionally ends with a Christmas Party – this year it will be on Thursday 19 December, 6.30pm until 9pm sharp (at the usual venue in North Sydney). All EDC students current and past, friends and family members welcome.
